I shot this church spire several times while we were in the Skagit Valley. Finally, on our last morning, the light cooperated.

It’s always the light! Superb shot and that white spire against the dark sky is, well, inspiring! I don’t think Cleo will ever jump in that tub but then one never knows, she has a mind of her own. I’m going to check out that Friedman book; sounds very interesting. And scary!
It is beautifully lit!
Great sky and light, it highlights the church perfectly.
Beautiful – we’ve also gotten some great photos of it from the road that runs around behind the church. We spent most of today drifting along the back roads of Fir Island, out behind the church looking at the swans and geese. The hugest flock we saw was out near highway 20 on the way back home on McClean Road – we’d never seen snow geese out that far. The flock in one field was estimated at nearly 40,000 snow geese – I got some great photos.
Oh that is pretty! The light was perfect.
Nice light, Kay. This church would fit into many New England towns I know.
