I guess it’s time to start thinking about holiday decorations. They’ve certainly been in the stores long enough. I saw everything in today’s post in October at Home Depot, while I was photographing Halloween creatures.
While you’re decorating don’t forget the traditional Christmas dragon.
I’d never forget the traditional Christmas dragon Kay š
I always wait until after Thanksgiving to put Christmas decorations up, but the day after is legitimate in my humble opinion.
And traditional Christmas Minions!
The nutcrackers remind me of my cousin, who has quite a collection of them.
We shop mainly at Lowe’s rather than Home Depot but Lowe’s has the same crap on the shelves! Aargh! And what really ticks me off is they’ve got so much junk in the aisles that you can just barely squeeze by, and god forbid someone else should come along going the other direction! We make China rich during these holidays!
That dragon sure does say it’s Christmas time, doesn’t it. š
One of the upsides of living alone – I can forego the decorating!
I am always ready for christmas – though we don’t decorate until after Thanksgiving. We usually get the tree up and decorated on Thanksgiving night – not this year – we have decided we are of an age that we can allow ourselves more time and more leeway in decorating. We finally have all the dishes in the china cabinets and all the christmas critters ready to go under the tree – but we won’t start putting up the tree until this weekend. So far we don’t have a christmas dragon – but we have a christmas bear that sings a song, a christmas Alvin with a hula hoop, a christmas duck that quacks several christmas carols, a christmas bear wearing a snowman outfit (even has a carrot nose to tie on), a christmas cow that moos christmas carols and several others – a moose with a plaid hunting cap – but all are much smaller than the traditional christmas dragon.
