My new, bigger lens (now affectionately known as “Zookie”) has allowed me a closer look at a barn that I’ve been watching for quite a while now. I first posted a more distant shot here in 2012. I took another look at it earlier this year, here, but wasn’t able to zoom in quite as well as I did recently.
Without trespassing this is about as close as I can get. Closer shots allow a better view but still can’t tell the history of this crumbling barn.
I am looking forward to interior shots. 😉
Still standing. Sort of.
Holy cow! Impressive that dilapidated barn is still up right after so many years. Would love to know the backstory. Wonder if it was struck by lightning years ago…
Gosh I can’t believe it’s still standing Kay! It looked like it was ready to give up five years ago 😊 surprisingly resilient! Such good fun having the long lens although I don’t seem to use mine all that much.
Well, it’s a good thing you’re taking photos now because this ol’ barn ain’t long for this ol’ world! Yikes. But it is falling apart nicely and makes for good photos! Love Zookie! You don’t need to trespass with Zookie!
Gotta love long lenses! I’d be more then tempted to trespass though, love to get closer to that wreck. 🙂
I’m amazed that this barn is still standing. It definitely has deteriorated since you first shot it in 2012. I would have guessed that it wouldn’t be standing five years later and I would have been wrong. Will it be there in a year, time will tell.
I would be amazed if it doesn’t collapse by winter’s end.
I wonder how much longer it will be around.
This is awfully dangerous. Glad Zookie let’s you get close without getting close.
