Fuschias are one of the magical flowers I remember from my childhood. They grow beautifully in California but are less abundant because of our colder winters in Washington state. They are massed in profusion at Butchart Gardens but this dainty pair caught my eye.

Calling them fairies is a good choice of names. They do remind me of the little pixies from the fairy tale books.
Delicate and pretty!
This is amazing, Kay! What a great eye you have. They do look exactly like what I would picture fairies to look like! If I were lucky enough to have taken this shot I would frame it and hang it. It’s unique and a delight in every way!
Very pretty. We have a friend who grows these in his garden.
Very nice – I’ve always thought of them as little floral bells.
I don’t think I’ve ever seen a fuschia before. Very pretty & so unusual! I can definitely see why you call them fairy-like.
Love fushias Kay. Your fairy duo here are an absolute delight to behold ✨
I never see them outside in Hartford (too cold) or Naples (too hot). Fussy little buggers, aren’t they?
