There are several bird feeders outside the window of one of our vet’s exam rooms. This hummingbird was ready to bolt if I moved another muscle…and it did, the second I tried for another shot.

You’re lucky to have caught him at all Kay, speedy little birds they are 😊
I’m surprised you got of any shot at all. I’ve tried shooting hummingbirds out in Colorado and all I got was a bunch of blurry colors!
They are oh-so-difficult to catch, but it’s fun trying!
Excellent profile on this little one!
Nice one Kay! You should know that when it comes to hummingbirds, one shot is sufficient. Didn’t the wee bird tell you? 🙂
Hummer looks like a hood ornament on a circa 1958 vehicle, big headlights and all…nice close up, Kay.

Hummingbirds are just about impossible for mere mortals to photograph. I have never had any success.
WOW! Well done. Very, very challenging to capture any photo of a hummingbird…let alone one that’s in focus. Great timing.
