This is more a shed than a barn. But I like its simplicity. And the day was wet and gloomy so the shot became a black and white image. The more grey it gets outside the more I’m likely to make that my go-to this season.

It is a shame when they are just left to rot.
The B & W works well with this scene — even it had been a sunny day. A simple shed like this looks nice with a simple treatment.
That’s been around a long time but it appears to be on its last studs, so to speak. I like the b&w, too, in this situation. I really like the old outhouse…Grandma had one on her farm in northern Minnesota and it was quite an adventure to make use of it during the night during the cold, cold, winter!
Wintery weather lends itself so well to Black and white Kay. This poor old shed has seen better days ☺
It looks wonderful in b&w. Not much colour in a grey and gloomy day. I agree that it is a great default for these type days.
It is well suited to black and white.
Sad isn’t it, but I might be joining you in the B&W stakes. Looked out the front window this morning, actually saw sun shining – put on the shoes, grabbed the kit, opened the back door and it was dark as Hades and raining. So much for that!
I like the black and white.
This could be a shed from the 1930s.
