Yesterday’s subject was rock and roll. It reminded me of another musical interlude I experienced in August. This bag piper greeted arriving visitors at the hotel where we stayed in Victoria. Mind you, he wasn’t stationed at the door for us. I was told he was there for a tour group. That group, unlike us, paid the piper.

Well, I guess there are times in one’s life when when the piper must be paid! As a youngster, I didn’t care for this musical instrument but now I have an appreciation for its mournful tones under the appropriate situations. Really quite beautiful sounds.
Nice shot of this gentleman. I feel badly because I truly hate the sound of bagpipes and upon hearing them must leave the area immediately to retain my sanity. 🙂
I love listening to bagpipes. He does look nice in his traditional clothing!
Well somebody has to! Pay the piper that is. 🙂
I can just imagine the sound of the pipes!
He looks quite dapper in his outfit. I love the sounds the bag piper plays. Nice shot Kay.
Great shot – the last sentence made me laugh. We are having snow flurries over here – after 3 inches of rain in the last two days – how are you doing? Getting any rain at all?
