I spied this golden oldie parked on a side street in Port Townsend. If I’m not mistaken it’s a LaSalle, probably a 1930 vintage. LaSalles were luxury cars produced by Cadillac from 1927 to 1940. The one looks like it may be getting restored.
I was wowed by the Art Deco hood ornament.
It’s a real beauty. I’m sure it will be worth the effort to restore it. Click here if you’re interested in more information about these vehicles.
It would be well worth restoring.
I love everything about this car. And I envy people who have the means and the wherewithall to purchase and restore ancient autos. As I’ve mentioned, my first car was a 1937 Chevy (I was 15) and I did some “updating,” but I didn’t have the funds to do all that I would have liked to have done. But I think I had more fun with that car than with any car I’ve had since – and I’ve had a bunch. We buy cars almost as often as we buy houses! 🙂
I’m swooning right now Kay.. this is my favourite time period. I loooove everything Deco!
Oh that is nice!
That’s a pretty impressive looking car. It will be stunning once it is restored.
The storm didn’t have enough power left in it when it reached us, just winds and a little rain. Cork suffered the most damage and about 250,000 people losing power . Glad that’s over with.
You knew the name of the car? Wow, you camp and you know antique cars. You are a smart patootie. If you like classic cars, come visit Naples. There is an impressive car museum in Naples.
