Here’s one of the first photos I took with my new lens, a random shot of grass across the street. This is an unintended study of bokeh, which is defined “as the visual quality of the out-of-focus areas of a photographic image, especially as rendered by a particular lens.”

Very nice. It’s good to see that your new lens is not sitting in a closet somewhere! I think bokeh used to be referred to as depth of field – you either have it or you don’t. 🙂
