Regarding your comment at today’s post, I was first familiar with the winter count notion through the documentary The West, which Ken Burns produced in the late 90s. It was directed by someone else, but done in his style. One of the stories featured was a similar concept either done on an elk skin or buffalo robe in the 19th century by an indigenous man in the northern plains.
A happy couple and she has a camera for those special moments.
Very cute. I took a nice stealth shot like this recently and my daughter told me to delete it.
