Please Mister Postman, look and see
Is there a letter, a letter for me…
…So many days you passed me by
You saw the tears standin’ in my eye
You wouldn’t stop to make me feel better
By leavin’ me a card or a letter…
Today’s earworm courtesy of the Marvelettes, 1961.
She wrote upon it:
Return to sender, address unknown.
No such number, no such zone.
These are, without doubt, the most unique mailboxes I’ve ever seen. Cute, though!
The wee poem? Well, old William did not write it for sure. 🙂
His and hers?
A photogenic pair of boxes!
Great lyrics for the objects in the post!
I remember that song far too well. The owner of the red mailbox expects a lot of mail. Or a lot of bills.
Two thoughts:
1. Love the Marvelettes
2. Love unique mailboxes
Good stuff!
Love these postboxes. I think there has to get only happy posts.
