The day was decidedly grey. Eagles like to perch on uppermost branches; this was about as close as I could get with my zoom lens and some cropping.

You are so lucky being able to photograph these awesome creatures.
What a cool shot; very artsy in black and white! Oh, wait, I can see a touch of color on the bird’s beak. It’s still artsy, in color!
He looks right at home on the branch. That’s a fantastic shot Kay.
Nice to live in a place, as here, where we have these birds to photograph.
This one looks very stoic.
Great shot – great composition. Hope we see some eagles soon – we are not able to go south for a while – as there is a slide on I-5 just south of Bellingham and we’d have to drive through the clean up with slowed traffic – and the chance of more rocks falling – until it is stabilized and the rains stop we’ll be going north only, or taking the long way around. Merry Christmas my friend – we have 3 inches of snow.
So this is what they mean about “Way out on a limb.”
