Two eagles flew overhead as I walked earlier on the day that I spied this fellow. Eagles fly fast. This one stayed in place. He gets the fame and glory.
Note for those interested in night skies: Tonight is a supermoon. This full moon is 14% closer and will appear 30% brighter than a typical full moon. It’s the closest the moon has been in 68 years and will be the biggest and brightest we’ll see until 2034.
Eagles are such majestic-looking birds. We have a few down this way. I’ve had them fly over a golf course where I was playing, but I’ve never been able to get a photo of one. Like you say, they generally don’t dilly-dally!
Have a great week!
That eagle looks proud and you should be too. You got a great image, well done!
Handsome fellow. I’ve only seen golden eagles here myself, but I do understand bald eagles have made inroads in returning.
Hard to beat an eagle as a photo subject, I’ve taken the odd one myself!
PS – thanks for the comment yesterday, it’s nice to be blogging again.
Stunning!! Absolutely stunning!!!!
Pretty nice of the eagle to show you his best profile and to stand still.
