The old Three Crabs Restaurant is history. The building foundation is gone and the ground is scraped flat. Across the street a new road up and over the marshland is being built. Beyond the photo to the right there is a gap in the raised soil to let river water flow through.

Kind of sad to see things demolished. I do love the hazy mountains in the background though!
Everywhere I go and look it seems that equipment abounds, all renovating, demolishing, improving…
Is this a good thing? I hate to see old landmarks being torn down and new construction in process which down here just means more traffic and congestion and much less fun…
I can see that being a lot of work. It sounds like they’re trying to be mindful of the wetland.
Wetlands are good things. Beat-up old restaurants from the 1950s aren’t. I suspect everyone out there will rave when it is finished (though the raves will include some rants about the cost).
