If you like crab this is the weekend for you. Port Angeles, Sequim’s next door neighbor, is hosting its 15th annual Dungeness Crab & Seafood Festival. There was lots of crabbing activity yesterday at the John Wayne Marina and I suspect much of it was destined for the festival.
Besides many seafood vendors the weekend event has music, a craft fair, cooking demonstrations and a chowder cook-off. This is one of the last big outdoor events before it’s time to go inside and stay warm.
The crab sounds tempting but in Canada this weekend it is Thanksgiving. Most of us will be eating turkey.
The crab festival sounds like a good time. I love crab but haven’t had it for some time.
This is the month of Cedar Key’s Seafood Festival. Looks very similar…well, except for the flora. We don’t drive over for it anymore, though…too many people!
I’m not one for sea food, but I imagine it would be a good photo op.
I’m kind of mixed on crab. But my camera and I would enjoy the festival.
This would probably be one of my favourite festivals if I lived in that area.
