It’s hay time. It seems simple enough. Cut it. Bale it. Done.
The weather doesn’t always cooperate and wet hay isn’t good.
“Make hay while the sun shines.” Easier said than done sometimes.

I have never seen such a haymaker! But one summer in Turlock, California, when but a teen, I spent some time on the back of a hay baler. I never want to do that again. It was 100 degrees and hard work and your eyes and lungs and hair all filled with dust. Aargh!
Farming is a lot of work, even in the winter!
There must be some way of making use of wet hay. But, you need to ask someone else . . .
It is a wonderful rural image. Farmer’s work is never done, tho!
