Coffee breaks. Do people really take them? I don’t remember a time when I put my work aside, walked away from my desk, and sat down to a cup of coffee. Heck, there were times when I considered myself lucky to have time to choke down some lunch at my desk. Maybe that’s why, now that I’m retired, I take a long time to read our painfully thin newspaper and sip tea or coffee…slowly. And I’ll have a second cup if I please. That’s a small luxury I enjoy a lot more than the moment actually warrants.
Speaking of breaks, I’m taking a short break from blogging. I’ll be back by early June. See you then!
Looks so good, I can almost smell the coffee.
Enjoy your break!
I hope that your short break is filled with interesting activities, pleasant sights and people with time to enjoy a hot cup of coffee now and then. Enjoy!
That’s a beautiful cup of coffee — right up my alley. In my previous life as a news hound, I never, ever, ever had time for such a thing as a ‘coffee break’. Now, I make a point to take one regularly with my counterpart in another department. We discuss issues and strategize…so we’re still working, but in a more relaxed atmosphere. And, with a delicious latte! : ) Enjoy your time away. We’ll be here upon your return.
Admittedly I’m not a coffee drinker. Enjoy the break, Kay!
I’m a tea drinker – but your cup of coffee is very pretty. We’ll miss you so much – but hope you enjoy your time off.
You leave just when I show up again? Enjoy your break. When I worked, I never really sat down to savor a cuppa coffee, but I did frequently walk to the coffee pot, take a cup, and go back to my desk or my meeting. I always felt that these short three-to-five minute breaks cleared my head. Did I say to enjoy your break?
Enjoy your break! May it be filled with many cups of delicious coffee!!!
