Another thing I like about this time of year is that the songbirds are back. Their music fills the air. This little Pavarotti held a lovely concert the other evening. (The zoom on my new camera is great but this shot isn’t as steady and sharp as I’d like.)
“Everyone likes birds. What wild creature is more accessible to our eyes and ears, as close to us and everyone in the world, as universal as a bird?” David Attenborough
Kay, I do not know if it is my site or not, but for sometime now I get only a question mark on your post until I click on it when then the image emerges. Something to check? Getting back to the image: it’s a sweet little bird, esp the serenade! I need to know more about your camera…I’ll ask offline.
We have a stand of trees behind our house and sometimes the bird are singing so loudly it gets irritating. 🙂 But I do enjoy them.
Re your comment on Ocala: You are right. Those wee golf carts buzz around everywhere and they can be quite scary! We’ve tried to ride bike on some of the paths but always feel like we’re going to get run over any second! They are a bunch of crazy ol’ coots! 🙂
I can just imagine the sound. A distinctive looking little one.
Wonderful photo – I do love the sparrows’ songs.
