Yesterday was the first of two days of the annual Tour de Dungeness bicycle races, more commonly known as “Tour de Dung.” The race draws hundreds of bicyclists who compete on a 12 mile course through the Dungeness area of Sequim.
Both men and women compete, rain or shine. Yesterday’s weather included light rain and wind but was appreciably better than it had been earlier last week. The second set of races will be ridden next Saturday.
These guys and gals have amazing endurance.
I enjoy riding bicycle, but this kind of thing I don’t understand. Tour de dung, indeed! You and your “disorderly thoughts” are so funny!
I well remember your posts from last year and loved the one that blurred to catch the speed of the racers. So happy to see more photos of this event this year.
That takes a lot of preparation and dedication.
I like bike events, though I missed most of the events in Naples this year. Your first photo is pretty nice.
