Wow – that can cheer up any day.
Nothing wintry about this one, Kay. I recognized it as a Chihuly immediately, then on reflection realized that the forms and glass colors are different from most I have seen. The forms seem trumpet like and the red color is consistent and almost solid instead of the more usual subtle gradations. Interesting.

Chihuly is a master craftsman and he certainly knows how to train his minions. The bright color seems to be a departure from the other pieces of his I have seen. Just today while visiting the Minneapolis Institute of Art, I admired another of his pieces, a beautiful, large yellow chandelier in the foyer of the museum.
