On clear days you can easily see Dungeness Light Station from the edge of Dungeness Bay. Getting a good shot of it is trickier without a powerful zoom lens. I can thank Photoshop enhancements for helping with this one.
You may see partially submerged logs in the Bay. Winter storms and currents carry these through the waterways. Some are downed trees that are washed down our rivers. Occasionally some are escapees from log booms.
What a pretty landscape. I love all the different blues and grays, they make the lighthouse stand out even more!
I looked up Dungeness Light Station on Google maps. Looks like one has lots of photo ops on the walk out to the light station. I’m looking forward to a closeup. (Ο_Ο)
I like the moodiness of this shot, Kay.
Love the white buildings with red roofs! Beautiful with the surrounding blue!
Again, you have lots of horizon lines in your photo, something which I always notice first. Light houses are historically so very interesting.
Beautiful shot! As far as I’m concerned, one can never go wrong with a lighthouse shot. The moody sky, mountains ,and bay water (with floating logs!) all just make it even better.
It looks kind of desolate out there.
