I saw a tiny flock of very big white birds in flight the other day. There weren’t many but I found a group of trumpeter swans feeding on field stubble a few days later. The numbers here are minuscule compared to the flocks that stop in Washington’s Skagit Valley on their winter migration. But that doesn’t mean I can’t get excited.
They do a good job of keeping out of camera range. But in my opinion they do choose rather pretty surroundings.
They are magnificent birds… especially in flight.
They are such elegant birds!
I wouldn’t mind having a few of these creatures swoop down on us in Florida, but I don’t think that’s going to happen so I’ll just have to enjoy your photos!
They are pretty birds!
Gorgeous color. I’m always excited when I see the swans – one or one hundred. It is such a treat to see them in the green fields – so much prettier than when we come across them in the muddy corn fields.
Whenever I see birds in the wild, I, too, get very excited. Nature’s gift to us!
