…like Christmas. And I’m not ready.
I innocently went to the post office for stamps yesterday and joined a line that snaked out the door. To be sure it’s a tiny post office. But it’s the longest line I’ve seen for quite a while. And I have two packages to mail that, well, I haven’t even picked out yet.
This is a Christmas display in Poulsbo, a little town on the Kitsap Peninsula about an hour’s drive from Sequim. I’ll show you more of it in coming days.
Lots to see in this window. Hope you manage to get your shopping done. Since we’re traveling to see family in the US, I did alot of mine online.
This will remain a familiar sight for a few more weeks then it will be Valentines turn.
PS: What is a post office??? ;))
Christmas is sneaking up on me too, Kay!
Yes, it certainly looks like they’re ready for it!
Christmas time is so pretty and exciting – love the display. I have a few more gifts to order (I shop online these days – haven’t been to a store yet this year – knock wood). Even small local businesses often have websites and you can order and run down and pick up the items – all packaged up and ready to go. Merry Christmas – Happy Me!
Busy days are just ahead!!
It’s just as bad here. And then, numbly, I agreed to watch a Christmas movie last night. It was awful! Terrible. Stupid. On the Hallmark Channel, though, so what can you expect. Never again.
I told my psychiatrist that every time I see a Santa walking around I get a terrible urge to beat him to death with a club. My psychiatrist, Dr. S. Freud, said, “Yah, there’s nothing wrong with that. Might even up your id and ego a bit.” I didn’t know what that last part meant so went and bought a club and got a cup of coffee. The I went home. But, all you Santas out there — beware!
Don’t remind me. Today I went out to get the annual Christmas letter copied and tonight I went over the addresses for the cards’ mailing labels. Got to do the actual cards and stuff the letters tomorrow. THEN, I move on to presents . . .
