This is an electric burner on a very old stove in the museum at Fort Flagler.
We in the U.S. are preparing for our annual Thanksgiving celebrations tomorrow. Safe travels to you if you’re venturing out to celebrate with friends and family.

This is fantastic! Now I’m going to look more closely at old stoves.
Ye olde burner reminds me of my childhood. And even the newer burners like that got messy fast and were hard to clean.
Hope your Thanksgiving is great! Don’t overeat. 😉
It looks quite old!
My first thought – it’s a labyrinth! Very cool old stove.
Very interesting. Our modern things are so nice. Table is set – bread is cubed for stuffing – dinner rolls are about to go in the oven – turkey is thawed out – pies are baked – time for a cup of tea and a little reading before bed. Happy thanksgiving dear friend.
