The Dungeness River has been running high, fast, and muddy lately after our steady rains. The bank where I stood to take this shot on Monday was saturated and grasses were all raked and flattened in the direction of the river flow. A day or so sooner I’d have been standing in water.

And a day later you’d also be standing in water: back to back heavy rains.
I love it! A really beautiful scene.
Beautiful, and some fall colours, I see!
Great photo of the river – it is amazing how fast the rivers rise and fall with the rain – I am enjoying this little break we are having. The strongest storms were north and east of here but we did get heavy winds and 3 inches of rain.
I hope you were wearing waterproof boots! I like this photo.
A very attractive scene with the rushing water and that beautiful bowing tree on the right bank.
