The older I get the more I appreciate history. So what better place to spend my birthday than a history museum?
I’d heard good things about the Washington State History Museum and it was all that and more. We spent an entire day there and didn’t cover everything. The exhibit above is just one example of one of the imaginative ways Washington’s history is portrayed. There are nearly 80 products made from Washington’s forestry products displayed.
Here’s a closer view. What do you see?
I could spend an entire day or more in this place. At first I thought all that stuff hanging from the ceiling was very weird, but the more I looked at it the better I liked it and now think it’s an excellent means for showing quickly all those wood products!
A fascinating installation!
Regarding your question at my blog, a lot of the rock around the falls is sedimentary like limestone, and there’s a fault line that runs through the ravine.
Wow – wagons, tennis rackets, hay rakes, spinning wheels – it is just amazing. I’d never seen things displayed like that. Very original and creative to make a “tree” of tree products.
That is so creative!
Looks like my third floor attic.
