This tree is at the edge of a marsh area so I can’t get close but it’s another one I like. I discovered when I pulled this shot up on the screen that its trunk is split, which often happens with this type of tree. Time isn’t always gentle.

Willow, weep for me…or in this case, We will weep for willow. Interesting. Probably hit by lightning or a big bull…
Ha! I’m smiling because I often (it seems) find myself in marshy areas and cannot get as close to my desired photo subject as I would truly like. I like the two strong trunks.
Lovely color in the photo. I’ve seen the trees split before – sometimes they continue to thrive and sometimes one of the sides dies. This one looks like it is doing well.
And yet the leaves persist, so who knows how long it might carry on?
I love the muted colors. Beautiful!
Beautiful autumnal setting. A split trunk doesn’t sound good….in any situation.
Time may not “be gentle” but it sure helps to make an attractive photo at times.
