DH reported to me recently that he’d seen a cool carving. A mailbox. Now where was it? After some back and forth a location emerged, more or less.
The other day we were on the right road. “There!…” “No…” Finally we found it. On a gate. No mailbox in sight. But I admit it is an interesting carving.
I also liked the look of the barn beyond the fence.
The artist gave this carving interesting facial features. I would like to see a gorgeous red beard like that on a real Human.
Well, at a glance it MIGHT look like a mailbox. But for sure it’s a fun carving!
Very clever – glad you finally found it – and the barn view is indeed great.
You need to be careful. Driving around your area for a few days may produce so many interesting pictures that you’ll need a larger hard drive!
And there are a couple of sad totem poles over in Cedar Key today. “Tiki lamps”? Sheesh!
I don’t know where they came from but they’re in front of a restaurant. When we first visited Cedar Key 28 years ago, we came upon a palm tree that had been carved like a totem pole. It was still there the last time we looked – about a year ago.
Oh, I like that!
Yup. It is a cool carving. But, there might be another. Keep looking.
An appealing and whimsical carving. Good to have a DH that has your photographic interests in mind!
