A couple more shots
I’ve been enjoying eagle sightings since we moved to Washington, over five years now. I’ve yet to tire of seeing them, close and distant.
Close is cool. Really cool.

Sure are impressive birds.
Your photos show their wing span so very well!
Last year my daughter and I were riding our bikes on Old Olympic HWY and immediately after we crossed the Dungenness River bridge an Eagle flew up out of the river with a massive fish in its claws, and literally flew right along side of us. My daughter and I were absolutely speechless. It was the most awesome site we’d ever seen and we still marvel at it.
Wow – that sounds truly amazing! What a memorable sight!
Really cool. Super shots!!!!!! I never tire of them either – we are seeing less now that the nesting season is over – but they will be out and about again in the autumn.
They’re amazing animals. I’ve only seen golden eagles, though bald eagles have been making their way back into this part of the continent.
I got hooked on the Decoah Eagles website all spring. Two eagles, hatched, grown, flown. Amazing to watch transition.
