Today is a federal holiday in Canada, Victoria Day. Since Victoria, B.C. is Sequim’s nearest large city neighbor I thought I’d share a statue of a young Queen Victoria herself, found – where else? – in Victoria, B.C. Happy Victoria Day, Canadians!

Ah yes… Victoria Day! I have a large collection of Victoria statue pictures on my travel blog. 😉
It’s a very nice statue and a beautiful photograph. I have to admit, though, that I’ve never celebrated Victoria Day. Sounds like a fun time for our Canadian friends.
Old queen Vic… Beautiful photograph of a lovely statue and background!
It’s always nice to see a young Victoria.
Good song for the day…
“Victoria” by the Kinks.
Wrong! It does exist. I just played it for kicks.
She was quite the monarch!
A beautiful statue of the great lady. I thought of reposting a statue pic for yesterday, though the one on the Hill is closed off at present because of ground work. I didn’t think of the statue of her inside the Parliamentary Library. That’s of an age similar to her age here.
Great photo!!! Lovely color on the dome too.
