This male harrier was perched for quite a while the other day, long enough for me to get almost close enough. This small tree has been a favored hangout lately.

Views of Sequim, the Olympic Peninsula. . .and beyond
Lovely. Nice when you can get close enough to enjoy wildlife AND get a great shot.
Difficult, but you still managed to get a good photo.
How lucky to catch this guy. He looks so stately.
Very nice!!! What a gorgeous bird! Re your question: Yes, in fact when I went by the bench, there was a sign: “O Kay, have a seat!”
Have a fun weekend, too!
Are those pussy willows? No wonder he’s pretty content.
Gorgeous spring photo!
Wow – great shot – I’ve never seen one of these close enough to get a picture – well done. Are you getting the rain like we are – it is beating on the skylihgts – quite noisy this morning.
Don’t see too many birds like that in London
What a beauty!
Where did you spot this beauty? What a great photo!
This is a perfect shot and perfectly delightful to view. Love it. The bird looks so content!
