I remember these candies from school days when everyone bought cheap boxes of Valentines and addressed them with careful block letters to the whole class. In those days these were the ubiquitous treats. In classifying this post I checked a box for “food.” I’m not sure these things qualify, really. Even when I was a little kid they didn’t taste much better to me than sweetened chalk. I considered buying a box the other day. They were cheap enough. Naaah. I took a picture and I’ll call it good.

I recently saw Valentine hearts for curmudgeons. . . pretty amusing.
Connie gave me a box of chocolates for Valentines Day but I secretly wished for sweatheart candies (smile).
I bought a bag of them – mostly for decoration – cuz you surely won’t eat them. The taste is AWFUL – I think they are trying to compete with skittles for sour taste – yuck – they are going in the trash when I redecorate for St. Patrick’s day.
I soooo remember these. Drove teachers crazy with these on the 14th.
I remember these. I only liked the white ones, they tasted sort of minty. The other colors were pretty bland…
Yes, I do remember them! I think you made a wise choice to photograph them rather than buy them. 🙂
I remember these too. Personally something like hershey’s kisses would suit me more, but then chocolate is my one vice.
Gosh, I remember them. They DID taste like sawdust.
