I hadn’t noticed the tree before. But at a distance I noticed two big specks on bare branches. Yippee! Eagles! It was raining. They may have been waiting it out.

Eagles in the wild are a rare sight for me. Lucky you… there’s two of them posing for you.
How lucky that you spotted them! I’ve never seen one in the wild.
Great shot – I’ve been having trouble finding eagles in trees with just a few branches so I could actually get a good picture of them.
Both patient and handsome!
They have a majestic look even in the rain. We have a sad situation in this area…a number of eagles have become very sick after eating some poison in a landfill. I haven’t heard how things are going this morning, but folks are out there trying to save them.
They look very watchful.
Mating season is on the way… mid-February. They are working on their nest I’m sure.
Your photo disproves the old saying “a bird in hand is worth two in the bush”. Great shot.
I saw a pair of eagles in a bare tree like this on my recent sunset cruise on Rookery Bay. An eagle sighting is pretty cool, isn’t it?
Great capture — two eagles, not just one. I once say one on my balcony railing several years ago, but I didn’t have a camera on me at the time.
