I’ve always called them “birders.” But there really should be a more interesting term for a group of bird watchers. Yesterday I heard the term “featherheads” for the first time. I kind of like that one.

Featherhead’s is a great term and rightly descriptive. I immediately thought of another, similar term, but decided not to use it as it’s NSFW.

Love that term – whenever we are out driving and we see people pulled over to the side of the road we will stop too – in case there is a good bird opportunity.
They tend to prowl the country roads up here lately looking for snow owls.
Featherheads? That is a new one to me. Interesting that they stand side by side and all look at the same thing.
Most birders or featherhead are involved nature lovers.
