The lineup
How’s this for a bird’s eye view?

A simple yet delightful scene.
Fascinating. These avians must be on their way south and taking a bit of a rest. My first thought was the movie, “Bird on a Wire” with Goldie Hawn…and oldie, but still with Goldie, not bad!
There. You’ve gone and done it. Leonard Cohen’s “Bird on a Wire” is in my head for the rest of the day.
Great shot – ours have come back in flocks too – I love watching them swirl about. One time we saw such a big flock on a wire that when they all took off at once it snapped the wire. I bet the repair guys wondered how a wire snapped in two right between the telephone poles.
They must be up to something! Excellent setting for the shot!
It is interesting how our minds work! When I see photos like this, it reminds me of a Wallace Steven’s poem: 13 Ways of Looking at a Blackbird–http://www.writing.upenn.edu/%7Eafilreis/88/stevens-13ways.html
