A relative came to town in October and we took her to Alder Wood Bistro for dinner. We couldn’t resist mussels, a favorite dish that we enjoyed in some memorable meals in California with our good friend Marie, who’d harvested them. “No one eats like fishermen,” I’ve been told. It’s hard to argue with that.

I would gladly eat nothing but veggies and fish….lots and lots of fish!!
Hmmm…I’ve never eaten mussels; maybe I should give them a try. Cedar Key is a major producer of clams. I’ve not eaten them, either. I have eaten shrimp, though. Which is all rather weird when you think about it, ’cause I’ve got muscles, people have often told me to clam up, and tall people have called me “shrimp”.
I’ll stick to chicken and veggies. 🙂
Yummm!
I’ve got an aversion to sea food, but it sounds like you enjoyed the meal!
I like most seafood, but I have dodged mussels for reasons I can’t explain.
I remember Marie!
I LOVE seafood
I’d rather eat like a Maine fisherman… lobstah! 😉
