DH spied this showy tree recently in Victoria. It is interesting because at the same time it’s bearing fruit there are also blossoms nestled in among its glossy dark green foliage. Arbutus unedo fruit is edible, though bland and mealy. It’s about an inch or two in size.
But the fruit nonetheless is pretty and it’s a versatile tree for many climates and soils.
Never seen one of those before.
