One of our favorite destinations in Victoria is the Royal B.C. Museum, a short walk from the ferry terminal. It is the building to the left behind the ornate 90 foot Netherlands Centennial Carillon tower. The Carillon is Canada’s largest and chimes short concerts hourly. Tomorrow I’ll give you views of a couple of the permanent exhibitions that we always enjoy.

Waiting to see the exhibitions you select! Why do I live in the Midwest with its niggardly 10,000 lakes when I love the sea so much?!
Chimes add so much. Love hearing them in a city. Was surprised to hear them this past weekend, out of the blue.
Quite a different tower for carillons. We have a set of those bells in the Peace Tower, and you can regularly hear the carilloneer playing.
I miss the sound of bells and an hourly chime of the carillon would be such a pleasant way to keep track of time.
