I wonder how much longer we’ll be able to do this, wander down a long, deserted beach and idly search for a perfect shell or polished stone or piece of glass. If the weather this past weekend is any indication, summer’s called it quits here.

I think it is the end of our summer days – so sad to see them go – but this rain will give snow on the mountains, which we desperately need. It is pouring and blowing a gale right now – good night to snuggle in and enjoy the summer memories of walks on the beach.
