I showed you this barn last March while it was under construction. I thought I’d show you an “after” picture since it has inspired me to a hefty dose of barn envy. As you can see, it’s big (oh, think of all the stuff you can do in there!). It has a nice room facing out with a southern exposure (it’s probably a tack room, but I’m thinking studio/sitting & reading room/perhaps guest quarters). There are solar panels. And probably my favorite is what looks like a winged brass pig weather vein on top. I’ll have to go back in better weather and get a closer view of that.
I don’t think the horses have moved in yet. At this point my imagination has certainly beaten them to it.
I missed your initial post on the construction and glad you added a link. Yes, Denton is a marvelous and generous man! Until I remembered that his sister, Norma, used to post on CDP, I wondered how you found this gracious helper.
I like the fact that the barn looks so modern and contemporary. I agree that a studio/sitting room/ and guest quarters would be a terrific use for that space. Looks like there even ware patio doors. With the truck and camper, I imagine a very active family or content retired couple, enjoying life to the fullest.
I like the look of it!
And I thought it was only in Ocala that we had nicer homes for horses than for people! Sheesh. It does look lovely. I thought at first it was going to be a B&B or a wedding venue. Don’t ask me why, but I’ve heard lots of folks want to get married in a barn.
When DH is finished with his boat, you can turn his artistry to barn making.
Lovely lovely barn. I love it when our imagination runs wild. The horses certainly will have fancy digs. Think of the boat your husband could build in THAT barn. LOL
