“I’m getting so tired of you crazy humans pointing those things at me.”
“How about a stretch? Does that make you happy?”
“And a bit of wing action. You want wing?”
“There. Is that good enough?”
“Now go point that thing somewhere else, will you?”

i love this poem and often recall it when on our short road trips along the Mississippi which has a large eagle population.
The Eagle
BY ALFRED, LORD TENNYSON
He clasps the crag with crooked hands;
Close to the sun in lonely lands,
Ring’d with the azure world, he stands.
The wrinkled sea beneath him crawls;
He watches from his mountain walls,
And like a thunderbolt he falls.
I love the visual aspect of the poem and your photos demonstrate the eagle’s majesty and strength.
Absolutely stunning – great timing.
Well, this is as nice an eagle series as I’ve seen! Superb photos and fun captions. We’ve got these lovely birds here, but we don’t see many of them, although one buzzed me on a golf course a couple of years ago.
You are still funny. Thanks for your comment on Ocala. I’m afraid some folks didn’t get the joke!
I’m a leg-man myself! hehehehehe
Marvelous shots, and I love the captions!
Absolutely fantastic shots, Kay! What size telephoto lens are you using for these?
A nice series, Kay. I never seem to have a camera, or the right camera, with me when I come across an eagle. You did very well.
@Ginny, I was using 270 mm. and cropped the originals. As luck would have it, I was able to get fairly close so the cropping just eliminated a little extra sky.
