The upside of taking walks between rain squalls is the chance to see occasional patches of blue. This marshy area at Dungeness Recreation Area is filling up nicely though it so far hasn’t suited any ducks, which are no longer hunted here.

No snow and blue skies. Looks good. The melt started here yesterday.
The sky in the photo you posted today certainly is different than the one yesterday. It’s always a pleasure to see blue skies.
Very interesting. We have a place called Payne’s Prairie just south of Gainesville (north of Ocala) that looks very similar. It also has a variety of wildlife, including ducks. Used to be there were buffalo, but I think they were moved. Deer, though, can be seen.
One might think the ducks would spend a lot of time in your Dungeness Area if they didn’t have to worry about getting shot in the rear end with buckshot!
Oh love those blue skies peeking through – I hear we are in for a nice spell of no rain for this weekend and beyond – time for walks and pictures.
I like your foreground brown grasses.
Don’t you just love the blue in the sky and reflected in the water?
