The ghost sign on the side of Sequim’s grain elevator has been partially painted over. In the days when the elevator was operating, from the 1940s to the 1970s, the Clallam Co-Op boasted “every member a field man.”

I like the suggestion that shopping the coop means savings. I feel the same way today about our coop grocery stores.
It seems that this grain elevator has planted some seeds in your mind which has led to another post on the grain elevator. Love these old ghost signs which remind us all of how things used to be – perhaps a bit simpler?
I love to come upon old signs – this one is terrific.
Don’t let them paint it over. It is fine as a ghost sign. Time to organize a protest of moms chained to the grain elevator.
