These mules were part of a team of four that pulled a wagonload of officials out at the start of the Clallam County Rodeo last weekend at the County Fair. The mules were beautiful, as was their tack. They made quite a sight.

Yes, brown mules and fancy harness do make it quite a sight
Well done, Kay. They are perfectly synchronized in this photo.
Who would think that a couple of jackasses could make such an elegant shot! I could say more about the people they pulled but will refrain from political comments today! 🙂 It’s beautiful, Kay. Those critters really look good and their tack is quite special.
The blinders are well-cordinated with the style of the rest of the mules’ finery. They are a very handsome pair. My husband is just now reading a book by Temple Grandin, Animal Translation: Using the Mysteries of Autism to Decode Animal Behavior, and she makes some interesting comments about the use of blinders on animals.
