I’ve been hearing some beautiful birdsong now that it’s warm enough to leave our windows open. I finally traced one particularly nice song to the fox sparrow (passerella iliaca). One down, two or three dozen more to go. No complaints there. It’s some of the best music available.

Bird song is music to my ears also! Photographing birds is not always easy. . . good job!
Bird songs are sweet. And you’re right about it being some of the best music around. Would you believe there are people who think shouting out profane words to a beat while jumping around waving your hands is music? It’ “sick” alright, but it ain’t music!
we have some birds here too! i realize i didnt see many around our apartment in the usa.. perhaps i should post about it… 🙂
I don’t know much about birds but I think we have only one species of sparrow around here. This one looks lovely!
That would be so nice. Musical twitter of birds floating in through the windows. Lovely picture of the fox sparrow.
Ohhh wonderful!!!
I am often awakened to bird songs in the summer when it is cool enough to turn the air conditioning off and open the windows. Today is the first day in almost two weeks that has been cool enough.
Yes, Kay, it must have been that darned “A” setting on my camera . . .
