I’ve posted this barn before. The first time the perspective could have been better. I was happy to discover a road that provided the angle to better view this beauty.
Bob Clark, whose pioneer family goes back generations in Sequim, tells stories about this, his grandmother’s barn. I believe she may have been a Cline – as in Cline Spit – but I’m relying on memory, which is a weak crutch.
That is a fine old barn and now with a majestic backdrop to match.
According to Barns of the Dungeness Valley – you are right. “County records date the house to 1892. The barn was built in 1934 by William Henry Cline, son of pioneer Elliot Cline,…”

Wonderful shot.
Oh wow! I’m catching up here with a free moment from taking care of ongoing family issues and I’ve missed so much. What colors in those flowers (previous post) and love this barn…especially all those windows!! It’s so good to ‘see’ you again 🙂
Love that roof!
Regarding your comment “Am I overly paranoid to wonder if slow-moving disasters like this aren’t allowed because they’re benefitting those who can profit from it?”
But of course, that’s exactly the point! Do you think Goldman Sachs wants to put an end of the crisis some of the European countries are going through? Two important members of our government have worked for them. Our Minister of Finance, the main responsible for the chaos in my country came from the Central European Bank. It’s clear as water! They say ‘amen’ to every proposal coming from Frau Merkel or Herr Shaubel, her Minister of Finance. Our polititians work for their careers, they don’t give a damn about the people. And do you know what happens after a bailout? A country looses its sovereignty…
I’d love to hear the stories
‘Tis a fine old barn. I think I said before I would guess it to be a dairy barn. Just looks like cows should be lined up inside ready to be milked. 🙂
Hope you’re well. Looks like spring in all its beauty has arrived in your town!
pretty, with the mountains in the background!
and yes, i finished that photobook. and then i was a bit disappointed. it looks nice and the book is huge, but the colors were not as vibrant as on my computerscreen. i contacted customerservice and they offered a reprint but i still had to pay a bit extra, and in the end i just let it. i made another book, again the same… maybe its the company, maybe its my photos.. (i used photobook america and i think they actually are much too expensive. i had a groupon, but still i had to pay quite a lot). i like having the books as its an easy way to show people your photos, and to go through it every now and then. but in real it was so much prettier, and so it is on all 3 laptops we have at home…
