Here are some catkins caught in silhouette on one of our recent grey days. Despite persistent gloom, plants are taking off as if it really is spring. They’ve got the right idea. That really cheers me.

Life is strong and it shows off every spring. Nice shot.
It’s hard to think spring while it’s snowing here.
‘Tis gray and gloomy here today, also. And the forecast is for rain for several days. It actually rained yesterday afternoon a little bit! Can you believe that? I’ve got to play golf Sunday so it better stop by then!
Thank you so much for your kind words to LA. That meant a lot! So far so good!
Wishing you a wonderful weekend!
By the way, I love this photo. Very artsy! You have a terrific eye. Re the effect used on the Ocala post for today: If you use Photoshop, it’s a very simple “action.” I use it sparingly, but it works for some subjects.
I’m thinking spring – thinking hard. Yesterday was a nice preview – now let’s have more. Great photo – would be very nice framed.
A hint of greenery is so nice during those long gray days. (Those interminable gray days in MI eventually drove me to the Sunshine State.)
Lovely!
here its still pretty cold….
