Tractors and farming are a big part of our heritage in the U.S., though many have moved so far from family farms that the farming culture is a mystery. It’s too bad. We’ve gotten plenty from the digital revolution and technology but it’s not the same as directly producing food or fiber.

You are absolutely right, Kay. Working with the land and with animals gives one a profound sense of what’s really important in life. It’s hard work, though. I worked on farms during the summers when I was a kid and remember lots of sore muscles.
This is a beautiful tractor. Ah, the good ol’ days!
These machines are still a big part of the Minnesota landscape. Our fair in August displays lots of farm equipment.
