The Sequim Food Bank is located at 144 West Alder Street. It’s open on Mondays and Fridays from 9 a.m. to noon.
Today is the first of the month, Theme Day with City Daily Photo. March’s theme is “Cafe Chairs.” I’ve not been haunting cafes much these days. (For health reasons I’m on a strict self-imposed diet.) Click here to see blogger interpretations of this theme at City Daily Photo. There are some great shots!
Food banks are a worthy cause for those in need.
Visiting a food bank is probably lots more important than sitting in a cafe chair. I hope that this one does well for the people who need it. And, I wish you success on your self-imposed diet. Tricky, isn’t it?! But, oh, so rewarding when successful.
A perfect selection for todays theme
‘Tis a delight to see this food bank! It is a community treasure and a much-needed antidote to the Ayn Rand self-centered me-first and to hell with everyone else philosophy that drives much of our commerce and most of our politics these days!
Reminds me of my days just out of college when I volunteered at a food bank in South Dakota. The patrons were always so appreciative. I too am on a self imposed diet. (Grrr.) Have been for quite some time. In a nutshell, no sugar (including fruit), no dairy, no gluten, no alcohol, no caffeine, no beef/pork. Really…it’s probably easier to state what I can eat. š
The bushes in the foreground look like giant hadgehogs! š How cool.
What a great building – and a wonderful public service for those in need.
