You may have seen this mailbox before. Shannon, my predecessor at Sequim Daily Photo, posted a photo of it. I loved it when she posted her shot and I fell in love all over again when I drove by it myself. I had to shoot it too. So I hope you’ll forgive its reappearance. I think it’s worth an encore.

Come and get me, big boy!
The little guy here caused quite a ruckus. He made a lot of dog noise as he told the big guy what a tough dude he was, especially while safely nestled between his person’s legs. The big guy was shocked at the language he heard, but was quite good natured about the encounter. I hope he has found a happy new home.
Get behind the wheel. . .
Behind the wheel of a John Deere tractor, that is.
I don’t know about you, but I sometimes wonder what it’s like to drive something besides a car. This is as close as I could get to that at a vintage tractor display at Sunshine Herb & Lavender Farm during the Lavender Festival.
The cockpit above is from the tractor that’s second from the right. All the tractors were beautifully restored and looked like they’d just come off a showroom floor.
We have a John Deere, but it would look like a tinker toy next to these big boys. Ours just mows grass.
